The Gulf Crisis Working Group included members from a number of peace organisations, including NPC, British Peace Assembly, Campaign against Arms Trade, CND, Eleventh Hour Group, European Nuclear Disarmament, Fellowship of Reconciliation, Gandhi Foundation, MCANW, Pax Christi, Peace Pledge Union, Peace Tax Campaign, Pensioners for Peace, United Nations Association, War Resisters' International, Women's League for Peace and Freedom, World Conference on Religion and Peace, World Disarmament Campaign.
The Working Group focused on promoting a peaceful resolution in the Gulf and avoiding military escalation. The group met regularly to focus campaigning efforts, which included meeting government and opposition spokespersons, organising a national lobby of parliament, attending and supporting demonstrations and protest activities, writing protest letters to politicians, and collecting petition signatures.
