Gulf War

MCANW campaigned against the Gulf War, launching an NHS Gulf Petition in January 1991 to raise concerns about the perceived impact of the Gulf Crisis on the NHS. MCANW was also involved with the work of the International Study Team on the Gulf Crisis, as well as various Gulf emergency appeals. Papers include minutes and papers of the Gulf Crisis Working Group, as well as other correspondence and papers concerning medical aid, lobbying, NHS contingency planning, and related matters. Also includes press cuttings and articles and papers of the International Study Team, including report "Health and Welfare in Iraq after the Gulf Crisis: An in-depth assessment" (1991).
