Biographical note
Lord Moran served as Director and Chairman between 1949 and 1960, resigning when the journal was taken over by E S Livingstone. He was approached by Brendan Bracken, Minister of Information, to become editor but does not appear to have taken up the post [Mr Moncrieff was editor, 1945-1950].
