About this work

Description

Contains cuttings also on 'Delayed Cyanosis' or 'Late' 'Maladie Bleue' due to imperfect clcosure of the foramen ovule Botalli, owing to non-adhesion of the 'Valve of Vieussens'--a form of cyanosis due to what H Roger terms 'Interauricular insufficiency'. NB what is usually called the 'valve of Vieussens' is the membraneous roof of the 4th ventricle in the brain. Contains also: On tumours of the heart (whether congenital or not); on 'paradoxical embolism'; on congenital defects of the pericardium and sternum; familial auricular fibrillation. On (congenital) abnormalities of the venae cavae and other large veins and coronary veins--and of the pulmonary veins. Contains numerous notes and cuttings on acquired disease (usually malignant endocarditis) grafted onto the hearts with congenital abnormalities. Contains also: some congenital abnormalities of the large blood vessels, for instance, on so-called 'co-arctation of the aorta' and regarding a valve-like structure in the abdominal aorta (see first page overleaf). Contains also: On Transposition of the Heart and Viscera (regarding prognosis, life assurance, etc, also: on cleft sternum and ectopia cordis. Contains also: on 'Idiopathic cardiac hypertrophy' and supporsed abnormalities of coronary arteries, cardiac veins, etc. See also my collection on 'Polycythaemia and Cyanosis in congenital and acquired heart and lung disease etc'. See also notes and cuttings with my MB thesis manuscript. This volume is the second series of 'Congenital Heart Disease' see also volume 'Congenital Heart Disease-Third Series'. In regard to association of congenital or acquired cardiac disease with infantilism see my collection on Infantilism
