ENTRIES AS FOLLOWS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS NOTEBOOK:

p. 1 'On Sheep Dipping Paste or Composition' - includes notes on how paste is used, its effects, note on how fleeces can be improved, notes on what materials have been used in manufacture, quantities.

p. 21 'To Make the Dip Paste', Jul 1873, including 'recipe' and note on costs.

Sales figures by month for dipping paste are given for 1873 (p. 19), 1874 (p. 25), 1875 (p. 27). Sales for 1875 appear to be much reduced from levels achieved in 1873.

p. 18, p. 20, and p. 26 are blank.
