The handwriting is the same throughout except for a few passages noted below. The book bears the name of Samuel Foley, and is dated 1686.

Over the original owner's name has been written: "E.E. 1e Octob. 1721." On folio 1 is written "Bibliotheca Palmeriana." [Dr. Richard Palmer of Grantham, Lincolnshire. His library was sold in 1809.]
