About this work

Description

An artwork by Tuberculosis Patient 14 which shows a country cottage with a tree and a curved road to the left, leading off into the distance. Rita Simon noted that the road leads to nowhere and the windows are blocked up and the tree has no roots. She felt this seemed to indicate worry about death in the patient.

Part of the description of this artwork is taken from notes made during conversations between Rita Simon and Wellcome staff between 1995 and 1997.

This artwork was numbered 1on the verso by Rita Simon.

The title has been provided by the cataloguer for identification purposes.

Rita Simon classified this artwork as Massive Transition.
