Description
Various papers by Eric Miller relation to his field studies in Malabar, including his draft dissertation, "An Analysis of the Hindu Caste System in its Interactions with the Total Social Structure in North Kerala" (Jesus College, Cambridge, 1950). Also includes various correspondence; data; reference materials, including press cuttings and articles; and related papers. Includes an envelope marked "Send to Ludlow Manufacturing and Sales Co" (Cotton Mill), containing photographs by the Indian Railways Bureau of street scenes and scenery in Cochin (1953).
Folder 2 also contains an issue of Caravan: Kerala issue, Feb 1956.
