Photograph of the second page of a letter dated 13 April 1879 announcing Lister's election as an Honorary Member of the Medical Society, Amsterdam following an International Congress of Medicine held in Amsterdam in 1879. It is one of a number of photographs accumulated by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum as part of its exhibition held in 1927 to celebrate the centenary of Lister, in conjunction with The Royal Society, The British Universities Hospitals and Medical and Surgical Colleges.
