Description
At first called the 'Sifting Committee'. First meeting as Preliminary Enquiry Committee held Apr 1924. This committee dealt with letters on cures for cancer, cancer causation, cancer contagion and offers of services, proposals for research; ranging from serious or conventional scientific research to 'alternative' medicine and native cures. The committee decided whether matters were referred on to the Scientific Advisory Committee (with or without comment), other Campaign committees or no further action taken. (See also A.19)
