About this work

Description

Correspondence regarding a wide range of invitations declined (in the main, speaking engagements).

Correspondents have not been individually listed.

However, it can be noted that the file includes a letter (20 April, 1970) from Anne Sayre, advising Crick of her project to write a book on Rosalind Franklin and requesting an opportunity to meet during May. Crick advised (27 April) that he would be away on holiday ("I am leaving early in May and will not be back until 8 June or thereabouts") but would be happy to meet at a later date.

Note: '1970' refers to the year of correspondence rather than the engagement declined, although in most cases these are one and the same.
