- Invitation to Carter to join the Genetical Society Committee on Genetical Effects of Radiation, and his decision to decline following the commission of the Medical Research Council to investigate the same subject, April 1955.
- Memorandum by Penrose on "Doubling Dose" containing comments he had been unable to make at the MRC Committee meeting, February 1956.
- Draft record of the conference to discuss the Oak Ridge and Harwell Radiation Genetics programmes, May 1957.
- Letter from Carter thanking Penrose for the reprint of a paper by Novitski and Sandler, November 1957.
Also contains two typescript reports by T C Carter, "Recommendation of the International Commission on Radiological Protection", 12 March 1959, and "Genetic implications of ICRP recommendations", draft 1958, covered by a compliment slip.
