Description
There is a gap in the entries in this volume from 22 December 1874 to 1 November 1886. All names in this register can be found in DGH1/5/2/1, except voluntary patients which are recorded in this register after 1866. The entries for January 1887 are patchy with little information filled in.
On the inside cover of this volume there are instructions from Physician Superintendent Dr J. Gilchrist as to the proper procedures for entering information into the register, dated 11 November 1866.
