Correspondence and papers re refusal of a U.S. visa to Chain and the cancellation of his WHO visit in 1951 (see E.231 above). Includes 16 pp. account prepared by Chain of his relations with WHO, penicillin plants from UNRRA, etc. The account was originally intended for publications in Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists but was sent to the U.S. State Department via the Science Attaché. Also includes press-cuttings.
