The MRC Cyclotron Unit Advisory Committee was established in 1961 to research radiation facilities, including the use of the Cyclotron, 8MeV Linear Accelerator and the Van der Graaf apparatus at Hammersmith Hospital. These machines were used as radiation sources for radiobiological research and radioisotope production.
