Correspondence between Kingsbury Maternity Hospital and Penrose, consisting of 3 letters, in which the Hospital provides figures for total and anencephalic births, and details of patients with hydadidiform moles, while Penrose replies with thanks for the information, and requesting details of 'booked', 'emergency' and 'district' births. Also includes data on anencephalic births and births with various congenital malformations at University College Hospital and Queen Charlotte's Hospital, Belfast, and a report by M Fraccaro on births with congenital malformations at two London hospitals, 1955. Contains cover note in Penrose's hand labelled "England".
