Description

Black and white print of a drawing by Jean-Hippolyte Flandrin held in the Louvre, depicting a young boy, naked and sitting with his head bowed, resting on his knees. The pose of Flandrin's celebrated 1837 "Figure d'étude" has been widely copied by artists and photographers including Wilhelm von Gloeden.
