Biographical note
In 1898 the Physical Exercise Department was established with a Swedish trained staff. In 1911 a Massage School opened in order that the hospital could train its own staff and extend its work to inpatients. The School was temporarily located at Lambeth Hospital due to the building of a new school in the 1970s.
