What you’ll do

Join Katie Hanlon from our library team in a creative writing workshop inspired by items from our collections connected with LGBTQ+ communities. We will be looking at a selection of images and accounts of historical LGBTQ+ lives and imagining a queer utopian future.

You will participate in several activities, such as collaborative writing, word games and readings, to help you think about how to create fictional worlds. You’ll then have a chance to write your own piece inspired by the items you’ve examined.

The workshop is open to all levels, whether you want to have a go at creative writing or you are an experienced writer looking for a spark of inspiration.
