What you’ll do

Join Beth Milton from our library team at a seasonal creative writing workshop inspired by items from our collections. You’ll be looking at a selection of images that explore subjects such as festive parties, awkward encounters and reindeer.

You’ll participate in several activities, such as collaborative writing, word games and close observation to help you think about writing character voice and dialogue. You’ll then have a chance to write your own piece inspired by the items you’ve examined.

The workshop is open to all levels, from beginners who want a place to start, to more experienced writers who may be looking for a spark for their next piece.
