What you’ll do

Join your hosts Amaarah Roze and Chiquita Delisser in an afternoon of performance and discussion about beauty, in which they will present a sequence of five performances, including spoken word, music and dance. The performances, created in collaboration with a group of young Londoners, are a response to the Wellcome Collection exhibition ‘The Cult of Beauty’.

As the audience, you will play an important part in this event, from deciding on the running order to discussing and challenging what’s important to you in thinking about standards of beauty. Throughout the event our hosts will spark some juicy debate by asking the audience questions – we want your honest, unfiltered opinions!

The event is designed for 14- to 19-year-olds and disabled young people aged 14–25 years. We may ask your age at the venue to make sure you’re the right age for our youth programme events.

This is a relaxed event and there will be a chill-out space available in the Studio. Drinks and snacks will be provided at the end of the show.

Your performers will be:

Spoken word: Jewel Campbell and Rae Zoe
Band: The Melodists
Dancers: Obsidian Black Dancers
Musician: Refrain
