What you’ll do

Join Katie Hanlon from our library team in a creative writing workshop inspired by items from our collections. You’ll be looking at a selection of images and accounts on subjects such as witchcraft, allegories and foxes.

You’ll participate in several activities, such as word games, object handling and readings, to help you think about how to build a complex character. You’ll then have a chance to write your own piece inspired by the items you’ve examined.

The workshop is open to all levels, from beginners who want a place to start, to more experienced writers who may be looking for a spark for their next piece.
