What you’ll do

Come and hear from women dealing with change in ways that update the standard narratives. In this discussion inspired by the book Shapeshifters: On Medicine & Human Change, experts will share stories of pregnancy, the menopause and gender-transition.

Where we’ll be

Follow the signs downstairs or take the lift to the Henry Wellcome Auditorium on level –1. There are 150 seats.

About your speakers

Rebecca Root is an actor, voice and speech teacher.

Louise Foxcroft is a medical historian and author of Hot Flushes, Cold Science: A history of the modern menopause.

Chitra Ramaswamy is a journalist and author of Expecting: The Inner Life of Pregnancy.

Your facilitator will be Anne Karpf who is a writer, sociologist and reader in Professional Writing and Cultural Inquiry, London Metropolitan University.

We’ll be in the Henry Wellcome Auditorium. To get there, take the stairs or the lift down to level −1. The auditorium is fitted with a hearing loop.
