What you’ll do

Hear historian Dr Simon Werrett discuss the thorny issue of disposable plastic used in today’s medical practice. From blood bags to aprons, the rise has continued unchecked, but can we do anything to reverse this trend? Drawing from earlier examples of home remedies and ‘thrifty’ medicine, we ask if lessons can be learned from history. There will be an opportunity for you to ask questions after the talk.
