"Council Task File Archive" (Council working groups)

From a document wallet so inscribed. Correspondence and papers about various Council working groups. Working group themes as follows: "Cascade system", "Research report - what now", "Funding/Sponsorship", "How proud we are", "European Year of Disabled People + 40th anniversary + plaque", "Research for children", and "Review process".

Documentation on several of these working groups appears to have been removed prior to deposit. There is some surviving material on the project to improve communication between council and members ("Cascade system"), as well as on the planning of the Thalidomide Society's 40th anniversary in 2002, and the commemoration of the event in a CD-ROM. On completion of the latter project it was decided "that the CD-ROM was not a suitable vehicle to either celebrate or promote the work of the Society".
