18 June, 1914. Joseph Collett Smith, general signatory authority not exceeding £1,500. Signed and selaed by George Pearson on behalf of Henry Wellcome. With letter of same date to Smith from Pearson: "you will only act in the name of Mr Wellcome when I am absent from business".
