Maths Notebooks

File contains 2 notebooks with the titles "Maths I" and "Maths II", both signed on the front "J.R. Vane". There are no dates on the pages or on the cover but the books appear to be in the same style and of the same type as other of his university notebooks which date from 1944-1946. It is these dates that pinpoint these books to university rather than school.

Notebook 1, titled "Maths I", is numbered from page 1 to page 141 and covers subjects such as, theory of limits, differential calculus, differentiation, inverse functions, integral calculus and partial fractions.

Notebook 2, titled "Maths II", is numbered from page 142 to page 251 and covers subjects such as, integration, formulae of reduction, area of a surface of revolution, polar co-ordinates and complex numbers.
