Biographical note

Pyott, described as a gentleman, first appears in the land tax records of St. Martin's parish, Canterbury, in 1785 and succeeded one Charles Pyott - probably his father - in ownership of a property there. He was buried on July 13th, 1804, having died at the age of 66. There is no record of his having been married; the "Mrs. Pyott" of items 3 and 4 is not identified.
