About this work

Description

Collection of alchemical tracts, mainly by, or ascribed to, Raymundus Lullius: in Italian, except for the first item which is in Latin, and written by a different hand. On the first leaf there is a circular symbolic figure, apparently unfinished. Notes: Nos. 4-6, 8-13 seem to be transcripts of an earlier MS., which are divided into paragraphs numbered 1-82. In the present MS. there are some lacunae, especially the whole of paragraphs 65 and 66, now found between the tracts numbered 9 and 10. The titles of the separate tracts in this collection are taken mainly from those used by Thorndike in his 'History of Magic and Experimental Science', Vol. IV, Appendix 39. It seems possible that Nos. 11, 12 and 13 are all parts of a single work.
