A handbook for the third ERA-Instruments workshop, "Made in the EU", which aimed to foster technological developments in the EU. The workshop was held at the Wellcome Trust Conference Centre in Hinxton, Cambridgeshire in July 2009 in partnership with the Trust and the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council.

ERA-Instruments was an ERA-Net initiative for promoting infrastructure funding in the life sciences which ran from 2008 to 2012. The Wellcome Trust was a partner in the initiative.
