Report by J.G. Ecrevisse to Nicolas Desmarest on the use of size in papermaking, and on experiments conducted by Ecrevisse at his factory at Esquermes, near Lille, to improve paper quality. With a pen and wash illustration of a papermaking machine (apparently now lacking a section of the original drawing).
