Description

Three Agreements, as follows:

12 April, 1920. Signed and sealed Agreement between Sir Richard Ashmole Cooper (the Vendor) and William Cooper & Nephews Ltd (the Purchaser), for the sum of £250,000 (including goodwill) in respect of:

(1) William Cooper & Nephews of Berkhamsted;
(2) The Kelvindale Chemical Works, Lanarkshire;
(3) The Cooper Technical Bureau, 47 Russell Square, London;
(4) "the works factories laboratories and premises upon which such respective businesses are carried on";
(5) "the goodwills works factories and premises of certain businesses or branch businesses or manufacturing and distributing agencies of Chemicals in various parts of the world carried on under the said name or style of William Cooper & Nephews.

12 April, 1920. Signed and sealed duplicate Agreement between Sir Richard Ashmole Cooper (Vendor) and William Cooper & Nephews Ltd, in respect of "goodwill" (£50,000 as shares in William Cooper & Nephews Ltd).

In both Agreements, excepted countries are: United States of America, Argentine Republic and the Territory of Magellan in the Republic of Chili, Republic of Uruguay, and the Union of South Africa and Rhodesia.

15 July, 1920. Copy Conveyance of Freehold factories, works, offices, etc at Berkhamsted, from Sir Richard Ashmole Cooper to William Cooper & Nephews Ltd. With plan to scale attached of Upper Works and Lower Works.
