Contains a letter from G R de Beer on behalf of the Zoology Sectional Committee asking Haldane for his opinion on five candidates for election to the Royal Society, namely W Rogers Brambell, H Grüneberg, P B Medawar, K Mather, and L S Penrose; and a letter from Haldane enclosing his reports on each candidate. Includes a handwritten draft of Haldane's reports.
