Biographical note

Savage was always outspoken in her views, and as such was often in the media. She appeared in opinion pieces in print, on radio and had an extensive lecture circuit. She spoke mainly on the topic of obstetrics and gynaecology but frequently branched into topics like choice and control in childbirth and the provision of health services in the UK.

Prior to her suspension, she gave fewer talks, but once her public and international profile increased as a result of the highly public support campaign her speaking engagements rapidly increased in number.

This section gives both examples of her appearances in the media, and also the administrative and preparatory material involved in these appearances.

See PP/WDS/A.7 for further examples of Savage's media work.
