Project Summary:Research and development towards a new body of artworks developed through collaboration with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. Quarantine will investigate and interpret the relationships between the spread of infection, the transmission of behaviours and changing climate, economic and social conditions. Specifically exploring migratory behaviours and the effect of newcomers into living systems. It will explore the perceived notions of what is 'foreign', and the contradicting paradoxes presented.The resulting artworks will be innovative in format and experimental in approach and outcome. They will be accessible to a diverse audience and aims to engage the public in the philosophical and ethical issues that surround contemporary biomedical science.
