Biographical note

The Society for Research into Hydrocephalus and Spina Bifida was founded in 1957. The society aims to increase public awareness of hydrocephalus and spina bifida and to promote research across the diverse fields of study relevant to these conditions. With around 265 members representing about 30 countries, the Society works to educate professionals of all grades of expertise and experience and increase awareness of the conditions. The Society meets every year at its Annual Scientific Meeting, where the latest research is presented and discussed. All members, including junior professionals and trainees, are encouraged to present their results, adding to global research efforts.
