About this work

Description

Todd, John Lancelot: Notes of ideas, projected experiments, and problems relating to tropical diseases, especially as regards trypanosomiasis and Tick fever. Author's holograph MS. The date 1912 is found on the third leaf from the end, but from the evidence of earlier entries, it seems probable that these notes were begun before the author went to Gambia on the 27th Expedition sent out by the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine to investigate sleeping sickness. He left England in January 1911 and was accompanied by Dr. Simeon Burt Wolbach [1880-1954]. The first leaf is headed 'Suggestions for work'.
