Maass Max-Planck-Institut für physikalische Chemie Gbttingen Bunsanstrasse 10 Germany Dear Dr. Maass Having baen away for almost two months since I saw you last at Elmau, I have forgottan exactly what arrangements we made about your paying my expanses. As far as I can recall you took a note of my air ticket while I was at Elmau. In any case, I should like you to raimburse ma for tha tourist air fara from London to Munich (£49.1.0) together with tha rail fare from Cambridge to London and from Munich to Klais. These railway far^s and tha cost of getting across London amount to about £6. I also seem to remember that you ware going to provide a carta in number of marks on a per diem basis. I recall drawing some of these while I was at Elmau but I don't have a nota of tha exact amounts. However, I am sure your vary efficient staff will have all the details. Could you send tha money to my English Bank'i The account number is 086 1587 at Lloyds Bank, Hobson Street, Cambridge. Everybody I talked to agreed that the Elmau Spring School was a great success, and remarked that this was largely due to the very efficient but informal way in which it was run.
