    ON THE TREATMENT OF SUBCUTANEOUS NA^VUS, WITH A CASE. By John Paxton, M.D., Kilmarnock, in a Letter to the Editor. In the following communication I send the particulars of a case of subcutaneous nmvus, in which the treatment followed was somewhat new, and proved completely suc- cessful. I am induced to do so, as none of the established modes of treatment, so far as I am aware, are sure of succeeding, or can be applied under aU circumstances; the best proof of which is, that in a most interesting case of erectile tumour—lately communicated to the Glasgow Medical Journal, by Dr. A. D. Anderson, and where many of the most eminent men in the profession were consulted —there was found great difficulty in the treatment, and indeed the case was ultimately left to nature. A. G. was found to have, soon after birth, a well- marked fullness above the imicr canthus of the left eye, which appeared to arise from the orbit at that part, and encroached a little on the eyelid.
