About this work

Description

The arrangement of these files follows that of the bundles made up by Rogers himself prior to the deposit of his papers with the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene. In most cases the bundle is preceded by a typescript note and list of items (not always complete), and some of them are indexed. Where more than one bundle on the same or related subjects was found, these have been placed together in the list. Otherwise the arrangement is chronological by the date of the earliest item. The arrangement of the papers within each bundle by Rogers is not always strictly chronological.

There do not seem to be any accumulations of papers on the following aspects of Rogers' career: the differentiation of tropical fevers (but see Clinical Notebooks, B.7-8); the relationship between disease and climate (except in the case of cholera); and his work for the Research Defence Society.
