Although David Pollock became Director of ASH in 1991, many of these files date from before this. All files in the series were transferred to the library at Wellcome Collection as David Pollock's files. It is likely that he retained many files started by his predecessor for further use, or reference.
David Pollock resigned as Chairman in January 1995.
