About this work

Description

Several people are seated at tables, two female characters are on a bench and men in evening wear are standing in conversation. The lettering on the card suggests that this is a production of the play "La dame aux Camélias" based on the 1848 novel by Alexandre Dumas, at Senne Civil internment camp during World War I. The central figure wearing a dark corsage is presumably playing the character Marguérite.
