About this work

Description

This coloured plan was probably inherited by the Retreat when it acquired Garrow Hill in 1927. It shows a block plan of Garrow Hill House, stables and outbuildings, and details of the gardens and grounds showing the trees and planting, including the layout of the walled garden. It also shows the boundaries of the estate and the roads around the outside. Drains and tanks and pipework are marked in red and blue. Acreages of fields are given.
