Edward's letters to his kinsfolk from Glasgow. 1821. Whether is the theory of Electricity of Dr. Franklin, or that of Dupuy the more probable? Fragment of an essay on Philosophy 1821. Author's holograph MSS. 'Edward's letters' are dated Glasgow, Oct. 1821 on the first leaf, and are written on the rectos only. On the verso of the last leaf 'This essay was done without assistance by Thomas Graham', and below 'I solemnly swear that these letters were composed wholly by myself. Thomas Graham'. The article on electricity is written over the text and on the blank versos of the 'Letters' as far as fol. 12: it is perhaps in a more mature script. The fragment of the essay on philosophy is dated 21 Oct. 1821 on p. 18. Produced in Glasgow.
