About this work

Description

Comment moururent les rois de France: Nouvelle édition augmentée et illustrée. (Paris: Bibliothèque des Curieux. 1920.)

Author's own copy. With holograph corrections and additions by the author, and inserted illustrations, cuttings, and MS. notes, including 'Hommage dédication au pharmacien-docteur Augustin Cabanès dit Cacatoës', in verse, inscribed on the fly-leaf by Witkowski.

This is a copy of the revised edition of a work prepared for publication in 1914, but not published, owing to the violence of its criticism of Cabanès' Morts mystérieuses de l'histoire, to which apparently the publishers objected. This was particularly true of the 'Préamble', which is omitted in the later edition.
