Description

(Aneurysmal) Dilation of the pulmonary artery (sometimes with hypoplasia of aortic orifice and interauricular patency or other congenital malformations. Circulatory rate in pathological states. Paroxysmal tachycardia. Auricular flutter and auricular fibrillation (paroxysmal attack and persistent types of both). Paroxysmal tachycardia and flutter in children. Auricular standstill. Functional (?) ventricular (recurrent) fibrillation. Auricular fibrillation (paroxysmal or established) in apparently normal hearts. Errors in the diagnosis of heart disease. Also diseases of the pericardium; pericardial efficiency. Pericarditis (rheumatic, tuberculous, etc). Adherent pericardium, etc (for calcified pericardium, indurative mediastinitis, polyperositis etc see also elsewhere FPW). Roentgen skiagraphics 'rings' (or 'annular shadows') of thickened pericardium or pleura (calcified ?probably/possibly) not indicating calcified coronary arteries of the heart or pulmonary 'caverns':--The whole subject of calcifying or calcified pleuritis. Some notes and cuttings also on the whole subject of calcification of cardiac valves, myocardium and pericardium. Chronic auricular tachycardia, a variety of paroxysmal auricular tachycardia. Some miscellaneous cardiac problems; including excessive frequency of the heart's action of uncertain causation--various causes of cardiac enlargement. Americ. Transact.
