Medical and administrative certificates of voluntary patients, arranged in bundles under patient name, and ordered chronologically. Contents usually include the subject's request for admission and the consent of the Justices of the Peace for East Sussex; together with the notices of admission, requests and consents for continuation, and notices of discharge. Personal letters are inserted in some bundles.
