Postcard from H A Holden to Galton postmarked 6 March 1891 suggesting the use of the work "cheirognomy". Letter from O T Mason to Galton dated 2 March 1888 regarding the identification of Chinese people using photographs and thumbprints. Letter from J W Taber to O T Mason dated 24 March 1888 enclosing enlargements of thumbprints (2 folios). Letter from C H Read of the British Museum dated 17 Jan 1891 informing Galton that he has found thumb impressions on a Mexican saucer.
