Biographical note

Project Summary:The London's Global Bitters Cabinet is a research-based project to be carried out among some of London's diverse cultural communities, exploring their traditions and current uses of plant-based alcoholic remedies. It aims to showcase a collection of bitters, tinctures and lotions used and sold in the streets of London. Display will include an experimental multimedia installation exploring biomedical and socio-cultural aspects of this cross-cultural practice. By combining the sprits collection with multimedia resources the project seeks to address the pharmacological and social efficacies of these diasporic remedies.
