Wellcome Consultants Appointment Books and Diaries

Wellcome produced Appointment Books for Consultants, dating from 1898 to 1991. The publication's name was changed from 'Appointment Books' to 'Appointment Diaries' in 1955, though layout and style remained the same.

The content of the Appointment Books / Diaries is similar to the Wellcome Medical Diaries, combining diary section to note appointments (1 page per 2 days, day broken up into intervals from 8am to 6pm) with sections of useful medical information (eg Therapeutic Notes, Index of Diseases and Remedies, Posiological Tables etc). They also contain promotional information / advertisements on Burroughs Wellcome & Co products, such as medicine chests, hypodermic syringes, medicine cases and individual drugs.
